Privacy Policy

The following privacy policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this Site (“Site”) and the Services accessible on the Site. This Site provides access to publicly available curricular materials and Services which consist of registration for instructors to access additional curricular materials (“Services”).

1. What personal information is gathered about you?

The Service only collects information from Instructors. Non-instructors, including, but not limited to, students are not permitted to register an account with the Services.

Account registration information: When registering for a user account in order to use the Services, you are asked for your name and email address. The only Personally Identifiable Information (PII) we collect from this Site and the Services are your name, email address, institution name, and role at your institution. Providing this information is voluntary, but it is required if you want to use the Services. If you choose not to provide user account information, you will not be able to use the Services.

Site use information: Information on your access to the Site is gathered automatically when you access and use the Site. This information includes IP address, information on your browser and operating system version, your choices, session time, click path analysis, and time spent on pages, and details on your page requests. Collection of this information is automatic, so we cannot stop it from being collected.

Realizeit form information: If you would like more information about courses offered by our technology partner Realizeit, you may voluntarily choose to complete a form available on our Site which collects your first name, last name, institution, digital courses of interest, and preferred method of digital course delivery.

"Data" as referred to in this policy include account registration information and site use information. We are authorized to store your Data by your consent. If you do not want us to store your Data, do not use this Site or Services, and do not register a user account.

2. How do we use the personal information we collect?

The Services only collects Data necessary to fulfill our duties and provide the Services. Data may also be used to study ways to improve the Services.

Your user account information (name, email address, institution name, and role at your institution) is used solely to provide the Service to you. We may also use your user account information to contact you for the purpose of providing customer support.

Site use information is used for monitoring materials access, and diagnosis of user-reported issues.

Realizeit form information is collected if you choose to voluntarily complete the form available on our Site for the purpose of providing your information to Realizeit so they can provide you more information on digital courses.

We may use de-identified Data for product development or improvement, research or other purposes. De-identified Data will have all personal identifiers removed, including name and email address. We do not attempt to re-identify de-identified information.

3. With whom is your information shared?

We do not disclose any account registration information to any third party without your consent, except when necessary to provide the Services or if required by law, regulation, government request, or other legal process like a subpoena or public records act request.

We share site use information with our subcontractors (e.g., an external vendor providing a service used to deliver the Site), who are required to comply with the confidentiality provisions of this policy, and the Terms of Service. WestEd will share the names of subcontractors with users upon request.

Realizeit form information will be shared with Realizeit.
